JAKE ZIMKIEWICZ

Jake Zimkiewicz is a writer, director, and creative storyteller. With a distinctive voice and a love for memorable characters, Jake’s work is driven by a simple goal: tell stories that make audiences laugh, feel something, and hopefully leave them wanting more.

Jake made his filmmaking debut with the comedy short The Midnight Christmas Show, a holiday comedy that introduced audiences to the fan-favorite character Peter Pascal the Horse. What began as a comedic short has since grown into a larger creative world, with Jake returning to those characters and their irreverent humor for his upcoming black comedy horror short, The Midnight Horror Show. The project takes the laughs, personalities, and chaos of the original Midnight Christmas Show short and throws them into a much darker and considerably more horrifying setting.

Jake is also the writer and director of In The Headlights, an upcoming feature horror film slated for 2027. Expanding his storytelling beyond short-form comedy, the film marks another chapter in Jake’s exploration of horror and his passion for creating original stories with a strong creative identity.

Outside of film, Jake is the co-host of Um We Were Talking, a comedic podcast created alongside his creative partner and best friend, April Calla. The podcast has gone on to garner thousands of plays and a collective audience.

In 2025, Jake founded Happy Accident Productions with April Calla, a production studio for all their work to have a home.
